This New Drone From DJI? You’ve Got to See It!
The DJI Neo 2 brings compact design, intelligent flight features, and creative possibilities to a drone small enough to take practically anywhere. But is it worth buying?
DJI has built a reputation for making impressive flying cameras, and the DJI Neo 2 continues that tradition with a particularly interesting idea: make drone photography easier, more portable, and more accessible to everyday users.
Whether we’re capturing vacation footage, creating content for social media, or simply exploring drone photography, the Neo 2 deserves a closer look.
And here’s where things get interesting: we don’t necessarily need a complete accessory bundle to get started.
Small Drone. Big Possibilities.
The Neo 2 is designed for people who want aerial footage without hauling around a suitcase full of equipment. Its compact body and protective propeller guards make it particularly appealing to beginners and content creators.
The real attraction is convenience. Instead of spending all our time preparing complicated equipment, we can concentrate on getting the shot. DJI’s palm, gesture and mobile app controls are part of that appeal.

Do We Need the Expensive Bundle?
Not necessarily. The Neo 2 is offered in different configurations, and the price can change considerably depending on the accessories included.
Some packages include additional batteries, charging equipment, controllers, or other accessories. Before buying, compare the contents of the package rather than looking at the price alone.
For beginners, a basic configuration may be sufficient. More experienced drone enthusiasts might appreciate the convenience of extra batteries and accessories.
Tony’s Take
TONY’S TOP TECH
“The DJI Neo 2 is a highly rated drone in my book.”
The appeal is straightforward: compact design, convenient operation, and the ability to capture perspectives that ordinary cameras cannot.
For someone interested in getting into drone photography without immediately investing in larger equipment, it’s an interesting option.
What Gives Us Pause?
A compact drone still needs careful operation. DJI’s guide tells pilots to avoid severe weather and keep clear of obstacles and crowds. Propeller guards do not remove the need to follow the operating instructions.
Package names also deserve attention. Check the exact model, included controller or goggles, seller, delivery availability, warranty coverage and return terms on the listing before paying. A promotional video shows the possibilities; it does not establish how a particular package will perform for us.

Our Take
The DJI Neo 2 illustrates how far compact drone technology has come. For travelers, content creators, and people curious about aerial photography, it offers an intriguing combination of portability and creative potential.
The biggest purchasing decision may not be whether the Neo 2 is interesting. It’s which package makes the most sense for our needs and budget.
